Rachel (she/her/hers) is a former undergraduate and current PhD student working with Dr. Ralph Pudritz at McMaster. She researches star formation theory through multi-scale computer simulations and is particularly interested in turbulence and magnetic field effects on the growth of star clusters and massive stars. Rachel is passionate about promoting equity and inclusion in physics & astronomy and has been active in multiple efforts towards these including PIPA and sitting as a graduate student representative on the departmental EDI committee for the past two years. Outside of university work, Rachel enjoys cooking, playing/snuggling with her roommates’ cat and staying active doing aerial hoop classes.
