Fall Preview - McMaster Academic Planner (M.A.P.)

Hello again Science Volunteers!

Hopefully everyone received the previous Fall Preview email which included the Science Itinerary, handout information, FAQs, and more (see below).

Additionally, I would like to inform you that we have officially launched the McMaster Academic Planner (M.A.P.) for the Faculty of Science - www.mapsci.ca For those of you who are unfamiliar with this tool, the M.A.P. is an interactive site for prospective and current Science students that clarifies Gr. 12 admission requirements for the various Level I Science programs, explains the differences between the 'Gateway' and 'Direct-entry' program options, assists with Level I course planning, and showcases upper level program and course options, as well as, provides information about Departments, Schools, and Programs in the Faculty of Science.  The Daily News just featured an article on the M.A.P. - see HERE.

Considering we now hope to use the M.A.P. as a primary recruitment resource, there will be laptops set up near each Level I program info table to access the M.A.P. Therefore, if you are a volunteer working at the program tables in MDCL atrium, it would be ideal if you could familiarize yourself with the M.A.P. in preparation for Saturday.

If you have any questions or concerns about this information, please contact me.

Thanks for your work.
