May 28th-31st, 2024 at University of Toronto, Toronto (Canada)

Code of conduct

All attendees, speakers, and organizers at our conference are expected to adhere to the following code of conduct. We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone involved. We encourage constructive discussions and debates, emphasizing the criticism of ideas rather than individuals.

The Globular Clusters and Their Tidal Tails 2024 Conference is committed to providing a conference experience free from harassment for all participants, regardless of sex, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, neurodiversity, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof). We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment towards conference participants. This includes the prohibition of sexual language, explicit imagery, or any behavior that may be deemed offensive in conference venues, including talks, workshops, social events, and online platforms.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to, making offensive verbal comments related to sex, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, displaying sexual images in public spaces, engaging in deliberate intimidation, stalking, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants who are asked to cease any form of harassing behavior must comply immediately. In the event that a participant engages in harassment, the conference organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action, which may include issuing a warning, expulsion from the conference, or any other measure they deem necessary.

If you experience or witness any form of harassment, or if you have any other concerns regarding the conference, please contact the scientific organizers or the Local Organizing Committee. We are here to support you and address any issues that arise.

Together, let's make the Globular Clusters and Their Tidal Tails 2024 Conference a welcoming and inclusive event for all participants.
