Adree Khondker, currently a grade 12 student at Westdale Secondary School, won one of the top prizes at the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair with a project that he conducted in a Department of Physics and Astronomy lab.
Dr. Mailkel Rheinstadter and PhD candidate Richard Alsop, both of the department, helped Adree select his specific project on how man-made cell membranes change in the presence of the anti-inflammatory drug cortisone using a technique called X-ray diffraction.

Congratulations to Andy Duncan for his 15 years of commitment to the GSA softball league. Andy will be honoured with an Alumni Hamilton Community Impact Award which will be presented by the McMaster Alumni Association in September.
