Mac alumna Donna Strickland shares 2018 Nobel Prize for Physics
Donna Strickland, a Professor of Physics at the University of Waterloo is one of three co-recipients of the 2018 Nobel Prize for Physics. Donna is a 1981 Mac Engineering Physics B Eng graduate. She is the 1st female recipient of the Noble Prize for Physics in 55 years. Donna is being recognized for developments related to very short, very intense laser pulses (“Chirping” techniques).
