Title: Exponentially Large Extra Dimensions from String Compactifications
Speaker: Dr. Fernando Quevedo – Univ. of Cambridge
Institute: University of Cambridge
Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP)
Location: ABB 102
Description:
An overview will be given about recent progress on fixing the size and shape of the extra dimensions present in string theory. A general scenario in which the volume of the extra dimensions is exponentially large will be explained and its implications for cosmology and low energy phenomenology will be discussed.
