Title: Imaging searches for jovian planets around white dwarfs

Direct imaging of planets is hard, due to the extreme contrast required. Searches for planets around white dwarfs are easier, though still challenging. I will discuss the results of a targeted search using HST and ground based observatories, and consider some of the related theoretical issues.
