Title: Quiet quest for high-energy frontiers: exploring nature at short distances with low-energy precision measurements.

Description:
Precision measurements at low energies complement the collider experiments and astrophysical tests in providing an important source of information about nature at the ultra-short distance scales. After some historical introduction, I review current theoretical and experimental efforts that will help to elucidate the origin of CP violation, and detect possible CPT and Lorentz violation. The latter are often cited as consequences of quantum gravity, and I will make a critical comparison between such predictions and the effective field theory approach to the same phenomena.
