I plan to talk about spontaneous broken symmetry in matter and in particle physics. Emphasis will be on concepts and in particular the difference of conceptual content in the comparison between the gauged and non gauged case

The talk will also include sketchwise an account of the various physical mechanisms at work so as to make things less abstract.
