Title: Using NetLogo to Model Cancer Radiation Treatment
Speaker: Alex Kasper

Description:
NetLogo is an agent-based programming environment used for educational models. I developed a model to demonstrate the important concepts behind developing a radiation treatment plan for cancer patients. In this talk I will introduce the mathematical models used to describe the response of living cells to irradiation, provide a brief introduction to NetLogo as a programmable tool, and present my model. I would also like to start a discussion on introducing computer programming to students
