Our students did well at CAP (Canadian Association of Physicists) and made us proud!
There were almost 650 attendees and 250 students in the competition and many excellent contributions, so it was a stiff competition. Several of our undergraduate students presented talks and posters. Congratulations to all our students who presented and to our winners!
Carmen Lee won 2nd place for her oral presentation in the Division of Condensed Matter and Materials Physics. Carmen is finishing her Ph.D. with Dr. Kari Dalnoki-Veress.
Liam Farrell won the 1st place poster award in the Division of Theoretical Physics. Liam is working on his Ph.D. with Dr. Duncan O’Dell.
Hannah Krivic won 1st place overall for her talk “Erythro-PmBs: A Novel Polymyxin B Delivery System Using Antibody-Conjugated Hybrid Erythrocyte Liposomes” and made 2nd place with her oral presentation in the Division of Physics in Medicine and Biology. Hannah is working on her Ph.D. with Dr. Maikel Rheinstadter.
