Undergraduate Programs

Our programs are structured to contain a common set of basic requirements plus a variety of options, to learn the specific course requirements, click on the links below to visit the current Undergraduate Calendar.
B.Sc. Programs
A. Chemical & Physical Sciences, B.Sc. (3 year program)
The B.Sc. in Chemical and Physical Science has been designed for those students interested in a 3 year programme in either Chemistry or Physics. It is modelled on the Complementary Studies Options and the student is free to chose a combination of Chemistry and Physics courses. Timetable constraints will tend to force the selection to be heavily weighted in just one of these departments.
B. Honours Astrophysics (B.Sc.) (4 year program)
In addition to core physics, students study the physics of planets, stars, galaxies, and cosmology. Students learn about observations and image analysis.
C. Honours Medical and Biological Physics (B.Sc.) (4 year program)
Medical and Biological Physics is the study of biologically relevant problems using the techniques of physics. Students learn about membranes and soft materials, molecular biophysics, and computation and laboratory methods.
D. Honours Medical and Biological Physics (B.Sc.) Co-op (B.Sc.) (5 year program)
Co-op program: A five year program that includes two 8-month work terms starts in Year 3 with applications due in Year 2. Students spend work terms at industrial facilities, research institutions, experimental facilities, space agencies and in a wide variety of areas with 100% placement so far.
E. Honours Physics (B.Sc.) (4 year program)
A balance of theoretical and experimental (lab) courses that are a solid basis for any specialization. Early introduction to scientific computing. Sufficient electives to take a minor in anything (e.g. music, French, economics...)
F. Honours Physics Co-op (B.Sc.) (5 year program)
Co-op program: A five year program that includes two 8-month work terms starts in Year 3 with applications due in Year 2. Students spend work terms at industrial facilities, research institutions, experimental facilities, space agencies and in a wide variety of areas with 100% placement so far.
Combined Programs
